Warli Art

This is how the indigenous tribes of Maharastra-Gujarat “the Warlis” paint. Their walls are painted with mainly three shapes – circle, triangle and square. These rudimentary paintings tell stories easily. The image here depicts: a walking family, sun, a lady grinding rice, ladies with water containers near a well and  a group dance.
